Bert is a last year student of Vanalinna Hariduskolleegium who came Ethiopia to motivate himself before national exams. The time for motivation seemed short however it was clear that his will to come to Africa had received approval on different levels. As Bert`s future plans is to study physics then it collided with the activities here.
Olustvere’s middle school physics teacher provided us with plenty of ideas what to do with the children here and with some equipment including microscope. It was planned to introduce the children static electricity, gallium, magnetism, the science behind batteries and soap bubbles. All the required equipment was needed to be taken with from Estonia. All the equipment for the experiments and the microscope was later given to the Ethiopian middle school for further studies.
